They say necessity is the mother of all invention and I guess that holds true for starting this small business. I have been in the reef keeping hobby for almost 20 years. There were always little things that I would go looking for to make my system better but could never really find. The industry is very specialized and companies that provide products to the hobbyist seem to always charge a premium. I have spent the majority of my career in design and engineering so I am always looking for a better way to do something. The company I work for decided to invest in 3-D printing and asked me to start learning the technology. After designing a couple parts for my own use for reef keeping and showing them to my local reef keeping club, I started to get some real interest. So I purchased my own 3-D printer, designed and printed more parts, and gave it a shot at a local frag swap. The show went really well for me so I decided to take the next step and see if other people really like these products as much as I do. My goal is simple: to provide the reef keeping hobbyist with useful products that are safe for the reef, affordably priced, and unique to the market.
